Dear reader

Hi, I’m Leah

And I am so happy that you’re here! My dearest hope is that this little corner of the internet becomes your safe space. Whether you’re living the life of your dreams, reconsidering literally everything, or you’re in those beautiful planning stages, just know that you are exactly where you need to be. Arrive as you are, stay for the vibes, take what you need, and I hope you leave feeling connected, loved, and inspired. Passion is immune to criticism. Give yourself permission to do exactly what it is you came here for; you are deserving, capable, and ready.

more on me

I approach life with an unapologetically geeky, giddy thoroughness. It turns out this personality quirk works in all kinds of directions. I became a huge Potter fan and I fell in love with the intricacies of biochemistry, but unfortunately, I also developed OCD. It was around the same time that I’d started baking in high school. A timely hobby, baking would soon become a “safe space” during one of the most tumultuous chapters of my life. OCD infiltrated 14 hours of my day, every day, for months, yet I found small, golden moments of freedom in the chaos that is recipe testing.

Dancing around in the kitchen – a blissful respite from imaginary rules and fears. I knew it then: this is something my intrusive thoughts can’t touch. They simply can’t keep up.

It took a couple of years (read: therapists and relationships) to redirect the energy I’d been pouring into the disorder back into things that mattered.

I have since come to understand that creative outlets are our most potent antidotes to anxiety. Creatives will always find clarity in the chaos. And we are all creatives.
